SPESIF 2009 is
being held at the Von Braun Center
(VBC) downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The VBC does not have hotel
accommodations. The SPESIF organizing committee has made arrangements
with the
Holiday Inn (Downtown-Huntsville) - a short walk from the VBC - to
accommodate our attendees at a reasonable cost.
The
Embassy
Suites adjacent to the VBC is also available, but is not covered by
any special rates. However, the Embassy Suites has dinning and other
accommodations that can be used during the forum.

Reserving Your Room at
Holiday Inn Hotel
Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations directly
with the hotel. A block of rooms have been set aside for attendees at a
special block rate (see below). Reservations can be made on-line
at
Holiday Inn or by phone at 256-533-1400.
Reservation should be made
as soon as possible to insure a room, but no later than
January 24, 2009. After January 24, rooms may still be available, but
reservations will be accepted on a space available and rate available
basis only.
Room Rates
In order to receive the preferred
block rates, individuals must
input the dates you plan to stay and identify themselves with either the
Government Group Code - GSC or the Non Government Group
Code - CSC. Rates cannot be changed at check-in
or check-out time for guests who fail to identify the Group Code at the time reservations are requested.

additional rooms are available, the block rate will carry beyond the
negotiated number of rooms. Should the Holiday Inn indicate that our

*The
Executive Concierge Level is the same as the Executive Club Level at
Holiday Inn, which comes with a complimentary cocktail hour, dinner
snacks, drinks and a continental breakfast on a private level. Suites
are also available on this level. Please contact Nansi Clark at
the Holiday Inn prior to making suites reservations for a (possible)
special SPESIF rate.
**Requires
Government ID at check-in. OPM per diem rates change 1 Oct. 2008 to $84.
Please register prior to this date to lock in the lower rate.
Co-Attending
Student Rooms
The Holiday Inn is
offering one complimentary room per 50 paid rooms per night. These room
will be made available to co-attending students - two students per room
(non-coed). However, to insure a room, co-attending students should make
reservations at the
Standard Level Double/Double rate of $99.00.
