The founders of this
institute believe that as we approached the beginning of the 21st century,
segmentations emerged in the sciences that
drove isolation between scientist and engineers. This isolation is specifically focused at the level of basic
research where new understandings toward the development of new technologies
that ultimately drives the future of mankind are born.
This isolation is most
overlooked in space propulsion science where a demise of the rocket scientist has
occurred, replaced by an out growth of
engineering technologist that are more like
auto engineering technologist than scientist. In fact,
rocket science is defined by "Wikipedia" as
an informal term
for
aerospace engineering.
Rocket Science is
not Aerospace Engineering.

science and aerospace engineering can be found
