The physics is easy; the financing is difficult, if not improbable.

The Workshop on Financing Vision is looking for papers and presentations on funding and financing projects on advanced concepts that have space, propulsion or energy applications for use on earth and in space. These papers or presentation should present the road from idea, though basic research to commercialization. Multiple papers or presentations are not out of the question for covering your experience(s).

In general papers and presentations are solicited that examine the fundamental question on how to finance advanced concepts at any stage from idea to prototype that:

  • Clarify the processes of concept funding,

  • Tells your experience; including both failures and success toward a successful product, and

  • Defines the process and pitfalls.

Of particular interest are papers and presentations on “How do we finance advanced propulsion concepts for space application in today’s global market?”

Sessions will be developed from the submitted papers and presentations into the following focused areas:

  • Funding fundamental science and technology,

  • Funding research in the private sector, and

  • Public education toward commercialization (e.g., SBA, technology centers, & etc.).

This workshop is interested in hearing from personnel in government, industry, academia and private research programs.

The workshop chairs have final authority on what is presented in their workshop. Therefore it is suggested that prospective authors/presenters contact the chairs for clarification, prior to submitting an abstract.
